7 Days to Die combines survival, crafting and tower defence in a world ruled by the undead. You start out without equipment in an open landscape where every night is more dangerous than the day before. Anyone who wants to last needs supplies, tools and above all a safe place to fall back to.
Daily life means scavenging resources, crafting gear and expanding your shelter. You can go it alone or team up with others and split the work between you. The danger does not only come from zombies: with PvP enabled, other players can become a threat as well. Defending and constantly reinforcing your base is therefore at the heart of the game.
Its greatest strength is the destructible world. You can dig, tear down walls and bring an entire building down with a single misplaced support pillar. The same blocks let you build fortresses with traps, trenches and choke points that carry your defence. Mods add new blocks, weapons and rules on top of that.
On your own server you decide how harsh the apocalypse gets: difficulty, day length, loot abundance, blood moon frequency and PvP settings. You manage the player list, load custom maps and install mods. With EmeraldHost your world stays in place even when nobody is currently online.
