In short

  • Patch #1 (1.0.1.0) came out on November 2, followed by hotfixes 1.0.1.1 and 1.0.1.2 on November 3 and 4.
  • The patch reworks boss fights and balance and fixes errors when migrating old saves.
  • There are no new server settings, but bring your server to version 1.0.1.2 promptly.

A little over two weeks after the Enshrouded 1.0 release, Keen Games published Patch #1 (version 1.0.1.0) on November 2, 2026. Hotfixes 1.0.1.1 and 1.0.1.2 followed on November 3 and 4. You can find the full changelogs in the Enshrouded news on Steam. Here is an overview of the most important changes and what they mean for your own server.

Patch #1 (1.0.1.0)

Patch #1 is mostly a long list of fixes, with hardly any new content.

Bosses and enemies

  • Bosses now stay engaged in combat longer after being attacked, even when you are far away. Previously, bosses such as the Fell Monstrosity could suddenly recover health during ranged fights while still being shot at.
  • The Wispwyvern and its undead counterpart can be targeted correctly by totem spells and summons again.
  • Boss music no longer stops while the fight is still ongoing.
  • The shielded Ancient Construct now has phases where its shield is on cooldown. The poison damage of the Fell Vinebloom's area attack and the explosion radius of the Scavenger proximity mines were reduced.

Combat and skills

  • Sprint can now be set to toggle in the keyboard and mouse settings.
  • Wand attack frequency can no longer be boosted by animation-cancelling each shot via blocking.
  • Whirlwind Crescendo costs less stamina and the Wand Evasion Attack costs less mana. The Aerial Wand Attack now costs 40 mana instead of stamina.
  • Skills and attacks keep working correctly after playing for several hours.

Bases, building and multiplayer

  • Multiplayer stability is better when hosting a world with very large player bases, and shadows flicker less in those bases.
  • Fish no longer prevent other animals in your base from reproducing.
  • Props that are part of a Sparkworks setup can no longer be destroyed by attacks. You can still dismantle them.
  • World names may be as long again as they were during early access.

Save data migration (PC)

Several cases where migrating old saves triggered an error are fixed. Keen Games explicitly recommends trying the migration again with this update if a save caused problems before. Keen Games also raised the memory budget available for all player bases combined during the migration, which helps worlds with a lot of bases.

Hotfix 1.0.1.1 (November 3)

  • The voice-over plays at the intended volume again. Patch #1 had accidentally made it quieter.
  • Sounds for picking up loot and harvesting resources no longer play for everyone in a multiplayer session.
  • A crash in the water simulation is fixed.
  • An error message is no longer spammed into the log file. According to Keen Games, this caused performance issues.

Hotfix 1.0.1.2 (November 4)

  • Pinned recipes stay pinned.
  • A rare water crash is fixed.
  • Taking a deprecated item into a world or using a deprecated blueprint no longer crashes the game.
  • A very rare endless black screen when logging into certain worlds is fixed.

What else happened

Since October 23, Enshrouded 1.0 is officially Steam Deck Verified. Alongside the patch came the "Artificer" vanity set: five parts are hidden in Embervale, and you unlock the hints by talking to Mei-Yin Chen. The side quest "Find the Orrery Rings" unlocks the recipes for the new props "Star Map" and "Ancient Globe". Since November 3, the rewards are also available as Twitch Drops.

What this means for your server

The patch notes contain no specific instructions for dedicated servers, so there are no new settings to configure.

Some points still affect your server directly:

  • Large bases: if your world has extensive player bases, you benefit from the improved hosting stability.
  • Log file: the 1.0.1.1 fix against the error spam in the log can ease performance issues. If your server felt unusually sluggish before, compare after the update. Our guide on performance problems has more tips.
  • Deprecated items: players who bring deprecated items into the world or use deprecated blueprints no longer cause crashes since 1.0.1.2.
  • Matching versions: server and players need to run the same version. Since Steam usually updates the game for your players automatically, the server should follow promptly.

Update checklist

  1. Take a backup
Back up your world before you update, so you can always return to the previous state.

  2. Update the server
Bring the server to version 1.0.1.2 so it matches what your players run. Our guide explains how to control automatic updates.

  3. Restart and check the log
Restart the server and look at the server log until the world has fully loaded.

  4. Run a quick test
Connect to the server yourself and check that bases, chests and characters load as expected.

If you still play on a pre-release version, you find the notes on how old saves are converted automatically in our post about Enshrouded 1.0.
