Arma 3 is a military simulator that aims to portray modern combat realistically. The game world ranges from the sun-drenched beaches of the Aegean to rugged, barren landscapes. Anyone who wants to succeed here needs tactics, coordination within the team and patience.
The two main islands, Altis and Stratis, together offer more than 290 km² of terrain. From urban combat in densely populated areas to wide open spaces, this creates very different types of engagement. Distances are real, and a march across the island takes accordingly long.
Equipment and vehicles cover the full range: from a simple compass to drones and jets. Realistic ballistics, dynamic weather and the day and night cycle make sure that no two operations play out the same way. A shot over long distance needs preparation.
On your own Arma 3 server at EmeraldHost you play custom scenarios with your group or compete against each other in extensive multiplayer battles. Mod support lets you extend the game with additional units, maps and rule sets. Mission rotation and settings are entirely up to you.
