Abiotic Factor is a cooperative survival and crafting game in which up to six scientists are trapped in an underground research facility. Paranormal creatures have entered through mysterious portals, and there is no quick way out. Labs, storage rooms and maintenance shafts turn into a place where something can be waiting around every corner.
Every character starts with a specialised background that shapes their abilities: culinary researchers prepare better food, weapons analysts hold up better in combat. Crafting ranges from simple tools to complex mechanical devices and defence systems. The materials come from the facility itself, so you gather, recycle and repurpose whatever you find.
Behind the portals wait exotic worlds with new resources, but also with new enemies. Switching between narrow, claustrophobic corridors and those foreign environments keeps the game moving. Survival is less a question of quick reflexes than of good planning: rationing resources, securing the base and coordinating with your team.
On your own server the group's research facility stays exactly as you left it. You decide who is allowed to join and adjust the settings to your own pace. That way you keep building on shared progress instead of starting over every time.
