ARK: Survival Evolved begins with you waking up on a beach without any equipment. At first only food, water and a roof over your head matter. Anyone who survives the first few days finds an island full of dinosaurs, ruins and open questions.
You gather resources, craft tools and weapons and defend yourself against wild creatures and other players. Taming is the centrepiece: dinosaurs can be won over as mounts, work animals or war machines and change your game fundamentally. With the right animal, regions open up that stay out of reach on foot.
Whether you make your way through the wilderness alone or join up with others to form a community is up to you. Some concentrate on bare survival, others devote themselves to building and designing their base. Mods extend the game further with new creatures, items and maps.
On your own ARK server you set the rules: harvesting and taming rates, experience gain and PvP or PvE. You choose the map, install mods and manage who is allowed to play. With EmeraldHost your progress is kept even when nobody is currently online.
