Left 4 Dead is a cooperative zombie shooter in which you and your friends fight as survivors in a world that has been overrun. Intense firefights, constant danger, and scarce resources shape every round. Your goal always stays the same: fight your way through the hordes and get your team to the next safe point alive.
The campaigns lead you through abandoned cities, forests, and grim industrial sites, and they put your survival skills to the test. The ordinary zombies are not the only threat: special infected with their own mutations and abilities force you into quick reactions again and again.
Cooperation is at the centre of it. You back each other up, share resources, and make decisions together. Anyone who pushes ahead alone endangers the whole group, because what each player does has a direct effect on how the mission ends.
In Versus mode you switch sides and play as one of the infected against the survivors. That flips the perspective and turns every map into a tactical duel.
