Project Zomboid is an isometric survival sandbox set in a world the living abandoned long ago. The zombie apocalypse has changed everything: resources are scarce, danger is everywhere, and the undead are not your only threat. Every decision directly affects how long you last.
Daily life is a mix of scavenging, building and weighing risks. You set up a shelter, look for food, craft weapons and tools, and adapt to harsh conditions. Hunger, illness, injuries and lack of sleep can kill you just as quickly as the horde outside your door.
The open world is detailed and merciless. Houses and whole towns that were once full of life have become gathering places for the undead. You can hole up, build barricades and explore new areas, or team up with friends in multiplayer. Whether you cooperate or turn on each other is up to you.
The game rewards tactical thinking, improvisation and patience. From securing a safe refuge to a risky supply run downtown, a story of your own takes shape. And if you fail, the next run starts under completely new circumstances.
