Does the trial cost me anything?

No. The trial is completely free and there is nothing to cancel: the server stops automatically after 24 hours. Costs only arise once you convert it into a regular server.

Do I need payment details?

No. You only sign in with your account and confirm your email like a normal order. A credit card or other payment details are not required.

How quickly is my trial server ready?

Instantly: after the confirmation your trial server is provisioned automatically, usually in under 60 seconds. You will find the access details right in the panel.

What happens after the trial?

The server stops and is kept for a short grace period. Your data stays intact during that time so you can decide in peace.

Can I keep the server?

Yes. You can convert it into a regular server at any time from your dashboard. Your worlds and settings stay intact. Your server moves to another host system during this and is briefly offline. Afterwards it has a new address (IP and port), which you can find in the server management.

How often can I test?

The number of trial servers per account is limited so there is enough free for everyone. As soon as a test is possible again, you see it right on this page.

Are there restrictions during the trial?

Backups, game switching and addons are locked during the trial. Once you convert it into a regular server, everything unlocks. Whatever is currently locked is shown directly in the server management.

Is the trial server protected against DDoS attacks?

Yes. Every trial server automatically runs behind our DDoS protection, with nothing for you to set up.

Does my data stay intact?

Yes. As long as your trial is running or the server is in the grace period, your world and settings stay intact. If you convert it into a regular server, nothing is lost.

Sons of the Forest is the successor to the survival horror title The Forest. As the survivor of a helicopter crash, you find yourself in a remote, densely wooded area. What looks like untouched nature at first quickly turns out to be a place where you are not alone.

Survival here means gathering, building and defending. You collect resources, craft tools and weapons, put up a shelter and fend off the creatures of the forest. Along the way you come across the dark secrets hidden deep within the woods.

You can take on the adventure alone or in multiplayer with friends. With several people you can split up tasks, put up larger camps faster and make risky expeditions safer.

On your own server at EmeraldHost you decide how your world runs: player count, difficulty, password protection and who is allowed to join at all. Your world persists between sessions, so your group can keep playing even when you are not online.
