Longvinter drops you onto a harsh, remote island where you have to fight for survival. The open world is not yours alone: other players compete for the same limited resources. Between exploring, building a base and uncovering the island's secrets, you decide how you make your way.
You start with practically nothing and build everything up step by step, from gathering the first raw materials to putting up your own shelter. Every decision matters: which weapons you use, how you ration your resources and how you plan your survival strategy. Nature is not the only danger, because not every other survivor is friendly.
The PvP elements create tension, because encounters with other players can turn at any moment. You can cooperate, found your own faction or fight your way through the race for the last resources. Alongside that, there is plenty of PvE: the dynamic world wants to be explored, and using the terrain to your advantage gets you a lot further.
