s&box is the spiritual successor to Garry's Mod, made by Facepunch Studios and built on the Source 2 engine. Instead of a finished game you get a very open platform on which the community programs, shares and plays its own gamemodes. The range goes from pure sandbox building to fully fledged multiplayer games.
Under the hood, s&box relies on modern C# scripting, an integrated asset browser and tools for maps, models and effects. That lets you turn your own ideas into something playable without detouring through external programs. Build, tinker, mod: what happens is up to you.
