Terraria

Terraria is a 2D sandbox game in which you shape your own world. You build houses, craft items, fight monsters and settle into the landscape piece by piece. Whether you are after the big adventure or simply want to build in peace is up to you.

The appeal lies in the variety. You fight your way through the game's different biomes and dimensions, defeat bosses and unlock ever more powerful equipment along the way. Every boss you beat changes what is possible in your world.

In multiplayer it turns into a shared project: you split up the work, build a town together and take on boss fights as a group that would need far more preparation solo. Mods can be added as well, making the experience even more personal.
