In The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria you descend into the depths of Moria as a dwarf, following Gimli's call to reclaim the once-glorious underground kingdom. But the old halls have fallen: dark creatures lurk in the shadows, forgotten tunnels hold ancient secrets, and the hunger for gold corrupts even the strongest hearts.
To survive, you mine ore, forge weapons and armour and set up a safe refuge. The mines are procedurally generated, so every expedition unfolds differently and holds its own surprises. Light is your most important ally down there, because without torches you quickly become prey in the darkness.
In cooperative multiplayer you divide the work between you: one player secures the tunnels while another pushes ahead with rebuilding the dwarven halls. With better gear and sturdier defences you venture into increasingly dangerous areas. Every decision about route and equipment has consequences.
On your own Return to Moria server at EmeraldHost your progress is preserved even when not everyone has time at once. You decide who is allowed to join, manage your world and adapt the game settings to your group.
